The directors turned to Technicolor Sound and Lead Mixer Frank Morrone, who worked closely with Co-Mixer Brad Zoren and Sound Designer Joseph Fraioli, to create an original mix that the filmmaking brothers would find unique. “Josh and Jonathan are both quite a creative force and love experimenting with sound,” said Morrone. “The music score by Mogwai added to the interesting soundscape and complemented Joseph's sound design perfectly.”

Best Sound For The Book Of Negroes

Technicolor Wins Best Sound For The Book Of Negroes  - The sound team who worked on the project is thrilled by the win. Lead re-recording mixer, Frank Morrone explains, “Working with Clement and Damon was so rewarding. I was inspired by the script crafted by Clement and Lawrence Hill. Clement and I were immediately in sync on what creative direction the mix should take to best serve the story. This along with Clement’s masterful direction, the locations, and the period in which the story took place gave us great opportunities to be creative.
Our team at Technicolor delivered a world class product every step of the way and provided us with the tools and support to make the technology transparent and allowed us to focus on being creative. I am so happy to have been a part of such a powerful story.”

Mediaversal Review of Amin Bhatia's - Interstellar Suite 5.1

Picture
Triplet Records has released the 25 year anniversary edition of award winning composer Amin Bhatia's ground-breaking electronic music work, The Interstellar Suite.  Remixed by award-winning producer/engineer Frank Morrone, the Interstellar Suite has attained cult status in both electronic and progressive rock music circles since its release in 1987.

Dynamics are extraordinary, with a range of about 90db. Unlike popular music, and even many progressive albums, Interstellar Suite takes advantage of dynamics found commonly in classical compositions. These extremes lend very well to the excitement of the Suite, riveting the listener to their seat, instead of lulling them to sleep.

This is a must have for an audiophile 5.1 surround sound enthusiast, along with required listening for any fan of cinematic pieces.
